WILLIAM J. SILBEY
William J. Silbey is a founding partner of Rice Silbey Reuther & Sullivan, LLP. Mr. Silbey practices primarily in the areas of general corporate law and real estate law, including acquisitions, dispositions, licensing, debt and equity financings, leasing and venture capital matters. He represents a number of companies in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical fields in transactional and general commercial matters as well as certain regulatory issues.
Mr. Silbey was previously the Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Schering-Plough Corporation, a global pharmaceutical company with more than $10 billion in annual revenues, where he was in charge of the corporate finance, securities, licensing, business development, real estate and commercial law functions. He was previously a partner with the law firm of Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A. in Miami, Florida and was associated with the law firm of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in its Los Angeles, California office.
Mr. Silbey is a graduate of Princeton University, cum laude, and the Columbia University School of Law where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He was recently listed in the Nevada Business Press Catalogue of Who's Who in Nevada law practice, included in the 2010 The Best Lawyers in America™, and Mountain States Super Lawyers 2010 (Business/Corporate).
